What do I need to bring for my initial fitting?
Bring your dress, the shoes you plan to wear and any undergarments you will be wearing with the garment. I do have long line corset bras and bra cups on hand as well. PLEASE do not make an appointment UNTIL you have your dress, if you have special ordered it.
How far in advance for a first fitting?
Most brides will book 2-4 months in advance. During the peak (spring/fall) wedding season, I usually have a month of solid bookings for fittings and final alterations. I will do my best to get you into my schedule. Note: 2nd/3rd fittings will not be scheduled on Saturdays during the busy season, March thru October.
Again, don't book a fitting UNTIL you have your dress. When booking a bridal appointment, there is a $50 booking fee which is a deposit and non-refundable. A credit to your account will be applied to your total alterations.
Do you charge for a consultation?
If you would like me to take a look at your dress, before deciding to have me do the work, or price checking, there is a $40 consultation fee to be paid when you book online using credit/debit

How far in advance should I book my first fitting?
For bridesmaids and mom's 1-3 months in advance is plenty of time., unless you only need hemming. During the peak (spring/fall) wedding season, I usually have a month of solid bookings for fittings and final alterations. I will do my best to get you into my schedule. Rush fittings can be done if needed up to a week before the event. An extra fee will be charged. Again, don't book a fitting UNTIL you have your dress.
Can I bring others to my fittings to see me in my dress?
When you come for your 1st fitting, I prefer that you come alone. I have seen the 'entourage situations" many times. Although it may seem like a great idea and it may make your mom and 3 sisters and 6 friends happy, it almost always backfires into a very stressful situation. TOO many opinions create an uncomfortable atmosphere. I also have limited space in my fitting room and it can get very crowded. Also please, no small children. Dress fittings are not a good place for kids, and not a place for running and playing. IF I am altering a dress for a young one, then by all means set up
an appointment for them.
Do yourself a favor and let your dress altering decisions be up to you and your seamstress. AND, really, wouldn't you rather have your friends see you in your dress at your wedding? For more examples and explanation *click below*

What if I lose weight?
You need to be at the size and weight you want to be for your wedding, before I will start any alteration work on your dress. It's understandable to want to look beautiful in your gown. If it's altered to fit properly, you will be stunning. You should remember, most dresses will need to be altered, if at the least a bustle and pressing.
